Meet the Builders
President Mark Montini was born and raised in a small steel town outside of Pittsburgh, PA.
After high school, he attended Tulane University in New Orleans, where he played football and graduated with a Civil Engineering degree. After graduation, Mark worked for design/build firms in Port Arthur, TX and Tampa, FL before becoming a partner in a precast concrete company in Tampa, where he worked for 19 years. During this time he was responsible for sales, design, fabrication and delivery of components for a variety of residential and commercial buildings.
He has acted as owner/builder on four residences, one of which being a 2000 square foot vacation log home in Maggie Valley, where his family first fell in love with Western North Carolina. Since moving to Asheville in 2002, Timberline has built in such prestigious developments as Poplar Ridge, The Ramble Biltmore Forest, The Cliffs at Walnut Cove, and Rilandwell Estates.
Mark “Jr.” recently joined his father as Timberline’s construction manager which has both increased efficiency and quality assurance while allowing for expansion. Jr.’s graduation from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he also played football, has served him well in the construction industry.
Although it has become a worn out cliche’, Timberline prides itself on their “hands-on” involvement throughout design and construction, which is the cornerstone on which Timberline is built.
